NightLase Laser Snoring Treatment Effectiveness

The facts are in, based on a review of 56 published studies, the NightLase snoring treatment reduced snoring intensity and improved sleep quality.

A meta-analysis on Er:YAG laser effectiveness for snoring, published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine in 2025, reviewed 56 studies from 2015-2025, the largest to date. The results showed:

  • The Er:YAG based treatment, called NightLase significantly reduced snoring intensity and improved subjective sleep quality.
  • High patient satisfaction with the procedure.
  • Safe, with only brief minor side effects.
  • Therapeutic effects lasted 12-24 months in most patients.

Best results were seen in non-smoking patients with normal body mass index, and baseline apnea-hypopnea index scores (AHI=5-30 events/hour). This is consistent with mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea. AHI decreased by 7.2.
